When I first heard this album when i was like 15 in 1980,..i hated it,...then in 1982, i heard it being played by Uncle Joe Bensen at Klos Los Angeles Seventh Day at 17 and the unhappy cold lyrics of this entire record moved me so much that this album became by far my favorite Who album ,... the misery in this album is even more chilling and ominous than Quadrophenia,......"Who by numbers' is the Who's BEST ALBUM ! and Pete's guitar on it is amazing !
