the signature is quite simple, you only need some basic knowledge about smudging and the outcome is really nice in my oppinion, i hope this can be an effective tut for the new gimp users.

this has givin me hopes.. in that I can create a bit better signatures. i did my first and it was iffy.. So i'll go try this now, but I wanted to ask. Where did you go to change the theme to black I cannot find it. Also, what does hiding a layer. I've never really known exactly how things work in photoshop/gimp.

The black theme i found it on youtube ;) search change theme gimp or gimp theme.
And hidding the layer it makes easeier for you to work!!. so the layer that you dont work with it cant get in your way ;) hidding i it makes it disapear temporally...

by practicing u'll get better ;) its how i started and i become a lill better with gimp.
and watch a lot of tuts u dont have to follow them enterly but watch and u'll learn a lill from everyone ;)
