That lone German plane in part 4 was a scout. Now there's a larger raid coming for our shipping in the channel, so we're off to defend.

I was experimenting with different recording settings, and ended up with blurry text all over the place. Sorry about that. :(

  • will you continue doing vids of il 2 just wondering

  • @ofpveteran73 Yes, that's what I'm working on right now. Running into technical issues, though, and working a lot of overtime at the boring old real life job.

  • Well. That was an unexpected end to this career.

  • @Zilgnis Nah, not doing hardcore mode this time around. I'll still move on to the next mission anyway.

  • heres some tips

    1. During the war, spitfires had no radiators. Only the German miscersmits did.

    2. Spitfires have inverted fuel tanks (or was it fuel injection engines) so whenever your in a dive, you will stall. Best way to overcome this is to waft around.( like you do when u take off)

  • i would expect icing in the summer, really doesnt get that hot, were lucky if we get 20+ celcius

  • I think the frost generator is vastly exaggerated when flying in or even near clouds.

  • Summer ground temps are usually about 18-25 celsius. I wouldn't expect an aircraft to encounter icing at 3000ft.

  • Icons are ugly, but they are needed as long as display resolutions and pixel density aren't a match for real world.

In other words you can see much better in reality than you can on a computer screen. The FOV adjustment helps but isn't really a substitute for normal field of vision as it improves small area resolution at the cost of situational awareness.

On the other hand, it looks like the game has quite interesting simulation aspects, even though they might not be exactly realistic...

  • This is good fun to watch, it really dosen't matter how you do gamewise ;)
