Ending the dog and cat overpopulation crisis is a big issue for Fred Willard, but he just can't quite come up with the perfect name for PETA's campaign. Watch as he comes darn close in this new video.
PETA isn't a shelter. Animals that can go to shelters/be rehomed/fostered, are. Those who have no hopes are put down humanely. Also, plenty of shelters use inhumane methods of killing, like car exhaust or other forms of gassing, to kill them. They don't want to spend the money on actual medication when the animal is just going to end up dead anyway. PETA only takes the absolute worst, and the most desperate cases, that would be killed inhumanely, and at least give them a last few pleasant days.
OK - I have a question about PETA. First off, I'd like to say that I'm 100% behind animal rights so I'm not here to troll. I want to ask about some stuff I've heard about PETA. I've heard that they kill most of the animals they take in even though they receive about 31 million a year ( or something like that). Can anyone give me an authenticity check on this?

As much as I love Fred Willard, Animal Birth Control is a terrible name for a campaign.
It makes me think of somebody putting a condom on their dog, which is a hilarious and bizarre image AKA not effective at all.
