My yellow house video responce to RickOnEarth

Because of the lighting the front room actually in this video looks lighter than the back room. It's not is a richer deeper solid color in the front room. I still would like to do a glaze over it. The kitchen/living area is done with a rag technique. I applied the paint using a wet rag and hand rubbed it. Making it look more distressed. The bathroom deeper about the same color as the front room with a brown glaze over the top. It also received no natural light so it appears then even darker which we enjoy in the guest bathroom.

Point being I think you can carry a color theme through several rooms and it's actually more pleasing the the eye than an abrupt change. My bedrooms are green though. My office still to be painted will be butterscotchy. I love decorating to the max and have studied it for years. Contrary to some who think small rooms have to be painted light colors it's not true if you do decorating research. WARNING I am not a professional decorater nor do I play one on TV.

We bought a brand new house and the contractors painted our entire house yellow. Same color you showed in the beginning of the video. I personally don't care for the color but I'm going to leave our bedroom alone. I personally like variation but if you like yellow I'd def say you did a good job complimenting the colors.

@ktangelbaby8 I hardly remembered doing this video lol. That's funny the contractor painted your house all yellow. Since I do know it's not everyones cup of tea. Our house was entirely white inside when purchased. Our bedrooms our a light green which they say is a restful color ;).

Kim you have a lovely home and I love the yellow. My house looks like a dump compared to yours. We can't throw anything away it seems and we always have bills and receipts and everything you can think of laying around. I am going to start clearing out this place when spring comes. You should see the front table the hubs still has it covered in tax papers now going on a month. We have clutter t oo but it drives me nuts and always a struggle to get rid of it.

i like the bathroom color. i think often bathrooms need to be darker. just my preferance
