This is only true for when it is hotter like summer and spring otherwise they are gonna be in the mid to deep water.

Fish from the corners of the pond (if they have any) and you can stay on dry land.

or should i use big worms

I've had a lot of luck using waders. The only time conservation gets pissy is when you are out there with no waders on. I was able to get to the bigger bass with waders.

this guy is an idiot. just get a big pole and cast and reel i parallel to the weeds

i wouldnt walk in a pond because its mucky and kinda gross. if it was that deep i'd take my aluminum flat bottom boat out and anchor it and do it that way so i can still fish parallel with the bank!
