Look up Derren Brown, hes an illusionist from over here in England. He does this kind of thing all the time, he even sort of explains how to do it but its very hard and he's been training for years so unless he comments I don't think you have to worry about your money!

If it's not a paper trick it could be: Cold reading and warm reading techniques used by seers and so called ppl who talk to the dead

the whole catch is done by gettin her to write the name on the corner of the paper ON THE LINE.. so when he rips the paper, you can see him look down. He knows where the line is on the paper and doesnt rip the name in half until he has seen it.

wen the paper is folded its folded in a way where it places the name on the edge he then rips the edge with the name on it and keeps ripping the rest of the paper without ripping the name on the paper and unfolds the piece with the name while pretending to still rip the other pieces then says the name.

I immediately disregard anyone who can produce a video without even watching it back at least once. Who leaves the font size so big that the words are half cut off? Really promotes a sense of authenticity (!)
