Ultimate Sacrifice Achievement Unlocked (***Spoiler Alert***)

I played a human mage who convinced Allister to marry Queen Anora. After fighting the Archdemon, I convinced Allister not to make the final blow & to allow me instead, killing the Archdemon (allowing Allister to live & take his place on the throne beside Anora) which meant I would die in the process. I did not take Morrigan up on her offer*.

At the end, a difficult decision must be made. Most believe that a Grey Warden must die in order to defeat the Archdemon, yet Morrigan offers another option. If a male Grey Warden (a male player, Alistair, or Loghain) lays with her, she will conceive a child possessing the taint. This dark ritual will ensure that the essence of the Archdemon is lured into the unborn child, rather than a Grey Warden. Morrigan believes that the child will survive and posses the soul of an Old God.

They should have given unique endings to the Archdemon's death, Wizard casting a final spell, a Dwarf axing the Archdemon, an Elf raining down arrows etc.

Damn, it is so awesome to see that there is so many different endings. I just played this through...first time. And in my version there was no king, only Queen. I spared Loghlaine and gave him the chance to throw the final blow in killing the arcdemon. He died and redeemed himself that way. Of course Allistair went away because I accepted Loghlaine. Zevren tried to kill me..twice so I lost him too..had to kill him. I did not accept Morrigans offer to make a child..and she left. Replay value!
