The Korean National Tourism Organization (KNTO) has implemented a tourism marketing scheme that capitalizes on Korea's pop culture known as "Korean Wave" which has been making great inroads into many Asian countries - mainly Japan, China, and Southeast Asia. Korean Wave marketing strategy involves promoting Korean destinations and culture through various entertainment, soap opera clips and images, and famous actors and actresses as PR ambassadors.
