Indeep - Last night a DJ saved my life (remix)

One hit wonder Indeep was led by Michael Cleveland backed by female singers Réjane Magloire and Rose Marie Ramsey. Last Night a D.J. Saved My Life was their one succesfull disco hiphop crossover. It was released in 1982 and peaked in early 1983, mostly in Europe. Indeep released their last single in 1984. Magloire later joined the Belgium houseband Technotronic.

Last Night a DJ Saved My Life was covered by Mariah Carey in 2001. And remixed by Snybone in 2011. The tempo of the music is half time. The singing speed is unchanged. The video is a slowed down version of a Tiësto concert. The Snybone houseband consists of drums, percussion, bass, clavinet, guitar and organ. The sax riffs are played by Steve Bone.
