@MrSuicideWatch slam dancing was what it was called in the 80's hardcore punk scene. Check out the documentarys ''The Decline of Western Civiliza" and 'Urban Struggle" Both have footage of 'slam dancing' back in the 80's. urban struggle shows more progression of the slam dance which is a bit more violent but imo more fun. Plus, they didn't go in a circle, everyone just went in all different directions which is way better than the circle pits today...
