He's bigger, faster, stronger, and smarter than Rice every was. Rice had better hands, work ethic and route running though. Jordy was statistically the second best WR in the NFL last season and was the most efficient WR in the NFL last year. He's elite now but because he's white he gets overlooked.

Like i said, "will never be more than a 80 catch/1000 yard guy at his best". he's only had one year, out of five over 1000 yards. 366, 320, 582, 745. that is four of his five years in the league, receiving yards.

Jerry Rice??? I think not.............Still

I'm not saying he's not a good player, but he's not Jerry Rice, even with the new rules in place that benefit offensive players compared to how it was in the 80's.

It's because white cornerbacks, RBs, WRs are usually not as good as black counterparts. It's the same in basketball. Nelson isn't even that great; he's had one good season but there are several black WRs better than him and with a higher ceiling (Johnson, Green, Andre Johnson, Fitzgerald). Nelson ran a 4.5 dash; that's not elite speed thought his top speed is elite.

Nelson is a little overrated by some people here. He's only had one good year and has the best QB in the league. He also doesn't get much coverage.

The only reason why he was a walk on is because he was white. They barely ever get Scholarships to white wide recievers, running backs, and corner backs. Its racially biased. When is all the racial discrimination going to stop, huh? ESPN? SportsCenter? Jordy Nelson is FAST. He is super athletic

A walk on is a player who makes the team but isn't offered a scholarship to play. Most players at the Div. I level get scholarships to play on the team. Generally the walk ons are guys who aren't good enough to get a scholarship, but sometimes they get good enough to earn a scholarship later.

It's probably weird to think of scholarships to play sports, isn't it? Playing football isn't really scholarly. That's the way it is in America though.
