I suspect that Gao died within a week of this news broadcast. Likely, he was a victim of force-feeding and inmate beatings. Like so many others who don't get in line with the Chinese government.
A boycott of the 2008 Olympics is precisely what should happen, since campaigns against allowing China to even host the games have failed. A boycott is a form of non-violent protest.
What I'd really like to see is for the 2008 Olympics to be canceled just before the opening ceremony.

read more about this story, its something we all should know about, read as deep as you can into it, theres so much more to this than this video. China's Gov is nothing short of crazy and sick. Fulon Gong practitioners and Christians are persecuted relentlessly there. Read about Gao from Voice of the Martyrs, and Fulon Gong from any resource you can find. And think twice before you think China is such a great nation.
