This is the full length story featuring the eerie tale of John WIlkes Booth and Abraham Lincoln being in the city of Albany at the same time in 1861, along with the story of an Albany couple who were with the Lincolns in their box at Ford's Theatre in April of 1865. The voice of Lincoln is provided by New York State Congressman Paul Tonko. This story appeared on the award-winning public affairs program "New York Now," which can be seen statewide on PBS. • We tend to forget that it was his election which caused the secession in the first instance... It was his fault because he would NOT conciliate with those who had voted for Bell, Breckinridge, and Douglas. He would never recognize the Conservative NORTH or SOUTH! He was a president only to the Left! THAT is why THEY love HIM so much, right NOW! NOT the rest of us, who know what he was, and what he wanted to get for his party's 'side'. SECTIONAL NORTHERN president ONLY.
