http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hO83nD275_A for the original from Louis Jordan back in 1947. I don't particularly like Barney, but I'm sure he helps educate kids.

  • Love how when I was little, I sang this like it was my favorite songg!

    I loved barney, now i go back and listen to most of the songs and realized that he loves to sing about sex to all the kids.

    Listen to all the words and then tell me im wrong(;

    Well, this song is originally an old jazz/folk song, and all those type of songs are based on relationships, money, hardship, love, sex, etc. Barney and all other kid entertainers are only trying to entertain and educate, there's no conspiracy, except in making some money along the way. So take a kid's song as a kid's song, plain and innocent, and it'll be OK. Barney ripped off these songs, anyway :-)
