Thanks, Im actually moving up to a blade 400. That's why I have the dx6i. I was going to get an SR, but my LHS and some forums say that the tail rotor isnt that great. I'm buying all the parts separately and saved $100+!!!

  • @unlivingmark Cool. The SR is a fine flying helicopter, but I agree, the blade 400 is better, which also is why it is more expensive :) good idea on the parts though!

  • OK, but I get my bravo SX whizzing around in a constant circle faster.

  • vid cool i just got my msr. I had a mcx2 and loved it until it broke. It damn sure took a beating. Peace

  • @mcgmark True. People tend to speak from a singlular perspective and this is why. For example, the guy who's been flying a Trex 600 for over a year is going to say the Blade 400 sucks and it probably does in a direct comparison. The guy who just upgraded from a heli-max Axe CP or Blade CP or any other tail rotor that's driven by a motor is going to say the Blade 400 rocks....

  • @unlivingmark You're correct. The tail rotor tends to wag back and forth very quickly on the SR. It's still flyable, but this is annoying. I found that very gently turning down the gyro gain eliminates most of the tail wag. Only a small amount is needed. That said, the Blade400 is a higher class of heli than the SR. IMHO you made the correct choice.

  • @unlivingmark The same forums would tell you how horrible the Blade 400 is also.

  • @john01513 Dual rate just setups up two or more settings for how far the control sufaces move. Expo slows/calms down the controls near the center of the sticks. I don't use DR or Expo myself, but I would suggest a Low rate of 60% with about 25% expo(on elevator, rudder, ailerons), and a high rate of 100% with 35% expo (again on elevator, rudder, and ailerons.)
