A problem: at the start, the guy buys a house/other stuff that he can't pay for and he KNEW his job sucked and that he didnt have the money. No wonder it all got taken away. Yes, the deregulation of banks from Clinton's repealing of the Glass-Steagle Act tricked many Americans into a false sense of monetary freedom, but also its because they dont read between the lines or live within their means. This video blames big banks( a valid point), but it ignores that its 50% the individual's fault too.

We are doomed...but not because of the banks. We're doomed because people don't have the basic common sense to understand that money is never given away for free. Someone somewhere has to ultimately pay for it. It's videos like this one that further decay basic common sense by placing blame on societal institutions rather than the individual who should have known better.

Ah but the banks told them 'in a few years you can always re-finance because your house will be worth more than you owe... but then.. they weren't. I agree anytime you spend money you don't have your gambling, but a generation of Americans have been brought up to believe debt is the only way to get a house or car.
