Blue Bicycle - stop selling Foie Gras ...

The Blue Bicycle is the last place in York to have Foie Gras on its main menu. They must be already aware that this food is made in a very cruel way, the birds involved are in excruiciating pain as they are force fed until their livers swell to up to 10 times their natural size. This practice is considered by many people to be wholly unacceptable, which is why the production of Foie Gras has been made illegal in the UK, and why here in York, the city council voted against Foie Gras with support from all parties and not one single councillor voting in favour of it.

We hope that they can be compassionate enough to find it in their hearts to do the right thing and stop selling foie gras.
