The Aero Foot has a very low griping strength due to the connection method to the trim. The new Traverse fit is significantly stronger.

Thanks for the quick response - is there anything wrong with the Aero Foot? I'd much prefer to go that route and not have the additional Short Roof Adapter if I don't need it.

The Traverse has a new bracket shape that grips into the door frame, whereas the Aero Foot's clip grips to the outer window trim. Here's a link to the Traverse fit on youtube:
