What a shame that they completely wrote off Agent Pendergast in this movie :(

I've read the book and it's sequel and they are two of the best books i've ever read, but i also really liked this movie as well. It has it's flaws, to be sure, and it left out the coolest character from the book but i still found it to be a very well done adaptation. It was kind of like Alien set in a dark museum, and it kept me on the edge of my seat when i saw it in theaters back in 1997 and practically everyone in the theater was jumping and screaming at the scary parts. Very underrated imo.
