  • those machines are an awful lot like AE70pinsetters in a bowling alley with the pin elevator and what not.

  • Thanks for sharing. We just went bowling and wanted to know what it looks like out back

  • Pretty rare to see a Bowl-Mor machine that has both the pins and balls going up the same elevator. Most later machines and even the last Bowl-Mor candlepin machine the Model E had two separate elevators for the pins and balls. Those machines appear to be very clean and well maintained so I wouldn't expect to many problems at that bowling center, unless they also offer tenpin bowling. That is just like the various tenpin machines are a totally different story all together.

  • May i just ask how you got hold of this video? I work at Woburn Bowladrome and i kno who shot this video.

  • There used to be a center with a few candlepin lanes in Tracey, Cal. but the owner told me they took them out a few years ago.

  • Thank you for uploading this- never seen a candlepin pinsetter before (in fact, never seen candlepin bowling except here!) I guess out here on the West Coast we don't know the fun challenge we are missing...

  • Heh, these lanes were where I bowled on the TV finals. Great stuff! :)

  • Simply awsome and amazing! At Michigan State, I used to work the pits at the Union Bowling Lanes there, so I have a bit of experience back there. Most people never get to see how this works! Thanks, for sharing.

  • Im glad I dont work on these..My brunsick "A" pinsetter is enough..lol

  • Growing up in a bowling alley with my dad I loved sneaking back to watch the machines work, great stuff! Never saw the candlepin machine in action before.
