Wow... you booted up the x300 first. x300 has no software and is a blank copy of xp which makes it light as anything. As opposed to an older x61 with vista and has softwares in them which is one of the heaviest microsoft OS which everyone hates because of it.
Your so called review has failed to operate a fair trial.

27 seconds is impressive, but this comparison sure as hell is not valid... using the older model with vista and the newer one with xp is just stupid...

another poorly executed trick to badmouth vista
1. the x61 isn't plugged in: why it ran out of battery and went black
(it turned on in power-save mode, which made its backlight weak)
2.HDD v SSD - ridiculous
3.the x61 was previously shut down manually, which gave it the "safe" boot screen. purposely, because this joker had his finger on the arrow key even before it started up.
4.basically making the little guy hold the big rock, and the big guy hold the small.
