  • Aloha e Guy,

I absolutely love and have fallen in love with your work, I was wondering if you would be able to make a custom rei puta for me. It would be something that ties my connection to my aumakua while respecting maori culture. I tried to go to the kiwibone.com but it didn't come up. I'd be glad to send you a personal message with my contact information.

    Mahalo Nui,

  • @MsManaNui Kia ora, thank you for you comment.I am sorry but I would like all of my sperm whale teeth to stay here in Aotearoa.

  • Hey man, I'm in Tasmania and I found a huge whale skull and all the vertebrae... which part is best to use?

    Love your work, it's great!

  • @Lokzilla Kia ora,the flat sides of the vertebrae .The bigger the vertebrae the thicker the wall of it will be,I'm not sure about the skull .But if you cut into the part's that look solid you might find some good material.good luck.

  • Have you ever tried working with deer antler? I'm interested in finding out how it is at working. I know the end product looks great. I've got a Hei Tiki by Silivenusi Funaki done in deer antler and it is absolutely beautiful.

  • Kia ora,It is very nice to work with .I have used both the base known as the button and the antler trunk and tips. The button is best as it is thicker and bigger carvings can be made from them. There is no grain.
