why does he get confused and feels the need to defend the proposition if many religious people believe what they do and feel the high peak conflicts with his argument, nothing is wrong with religious belief (no matter how stupid) as long as it don't compromise the well being of other individuals. he feels the need to question girls who would like to wear it, it's about those who are forced to. that's clearly against physical, mental well being and science could back that up objectively.
