Bruce wrote it for Patti- they got married under an oak tree in their grounds of their home 20 years ago...I remember the newspaper reports at the time-guess he was right here-what it takes to makes a relationship work ..!

Sometimes..all that keeps us going is just a flicker..a glimmer..of hope. It is knowing that there IS that kind of love out there. Maybe it is knowing that the human heart is capable of this kind of love and goodness.. that allows us to get up off our knees..and try again. Rest In Peace Clarence.

I don't understand how anyone can listen to this song and not know that Patti has the most amazing voice. (And, in any case, there is no reason to be so vulgar about your opinion) People forget that she was in the band long before she and Bruce were together.

What I love about this song is that it's tolerant. So many love songs talk about how they will be together forever and never ever lose each other and everything will be perfect, but this song says that it's okay. One can fall behind or screw things up, but that's okay, because they'll wait for each other... God bless you Bruce.
