CM SF-19 Strike Force Notebook OR notepal U2 cooler for my gaming laptop ASUS G74SX??

if ur really poor like me, or cheap and want the BEST laptop cooler you can just sit your laptop on top of a box fan, i got a temp drop of 10c on low and 19c on medium. on high it's to effing loud but would probably cool a laptop with no fan. sometimes you gotta macgyver something up.

@ElPajaroMexicano I have fan filters. You like about...5 CFM. That's nothing if you're using a 100 CFM fan, like I do. Come on, do tests before posting. Educate yourself.

@CCReviews Yea that sucks. Should have reseated the heatsinks and used some AS5 =(

@FDRFERNY Impossible. Imagine driving a car down a one lane road. Now Drive a semi down it lol.
Great review indeed
But i was wondering, can i plug this cooler using my laptop USB 2.0 and use the laptops usb 3.0 speed performance on transferring files?
Thank you

@FDRFERNY Hey, no you cannot. USB3 has a differenent bandwith than usb 2.0. Nevertheless you can plug it in, and use those usb 3.0 ports. But as long as your laptop doesn't have USB3, you will not get USB3 transferspeed on the strikeforce... :) I believe there's also a 2.0 version out there which is much less expensive.

that Toshiba needs the fan heatsink cleaned out from the inside, IF it is still running. 87+++ is to hot

@donm315 yeah it wasn't mine, but indeed it should have been cleaned... My dad wouldn't let me clean it :p Anyway, the GPu (nvidia Gt7600) fried and almost killed the laptop... Screen res. is 800x600 now, rays all over the screen,... :p

why would u need filters?? filters cost money and greatly reduce air flow... filters are only used to protect delicate parts or when the air coming out is dusty.... 2 simple fans can be easily cleaned with compressed air and a lil dist won't hurt them.... filter would just render it useless; wouldn't move enough air

@ElPajaroMexicano It's a lot easier to clean out filters thoroughly than to clean a fan.. Besides, filters don't stop that much air. Also, you will have the fan underneath your CPU fan most probably, so it will take in dust, which will then stick to the components. Overall I think the benefits of dust filters outweigh the small decrease in airflow :)
