This is a reply to an article I read in the Spectator magazine, which I found utterly frightful.

Please find the link to the original article, as well as the first half of the original text (rest won't fit), below

FIRST HALF OF ORIGINAL ARTICLE:

"The impact of the financial crisis on the American presidential election has somewhat obscured the most important reason why the prospect of an Obama presidency is giving so many people nightmares. This is the fear that, if he wins, US defences will be emasculated at a time of unprecedented international peril and the enemies of America and the free world will seize their opportunity to destroy the west.

Personally, I dont give any credence to the support for one candidate over the other that has been expressed by the enemies of civilisation (Iran and Hamas support Obama, while an al Qaeda blogger supports McCain). Their agenda is simply to sow confusion and promote American recriminations and disarray. Nor do I set much store by many of the remarks made by either candidate during the latter stages of this election campaign, since under this kind of pressure both will now say pretty much anything to win it. The New York Times has run a useful analysis of the candidates foreign policy campaign statements which shows how Obama has carefully tacked to the hard power agenda while McCain has in turn nodded towards soft power.

McCain believes in protecting and defending America as it is. Obama tells the world he is ashamed of America and wants to change it into something else. McCain stands for American exceptionalism, the belief that American values are superior to tyrannies. Obama stands for the expiation of Americas original sin in oppressing black people, the third world and the poor.

Obama thinks world conflicts are basically the wests fault, and so it must right the injustices it has inflicted. Thats why he believes in soft power — diplomacy, aid, rectifying grievances (thus legitimising them, encouraging terror and promoting injustice) and resolving conflict by talking. As a result, he will take an axe to Americas defences at the very time when they need to be built up. He has said he will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems; he will not weaponize space; he will slow our development of future combat systems; and he will also not develop nuclear weapons, pledging to seek deep cuts in Americas arsenal, thus unilaterally disabling its nuclear deterrent as Russia and China engage in massive military buildups.

Obama would thus speak to Irans genocidal mullahs without preconditions on his side (the same mullahs have now laid down their own preconditions for America: pull all US troops out of the Middle East, and abandon support for Zionist Israel) but has said he would have problems dealing with an Israeli government headed by a member of Israels Likud Party. In similar vein, it is notable that Obama opposed the congressional resolution labelling the Iranian Revolutionary Guards a terrorist organization, which passed the Senate by a wide margin with support from both parties. And had he had his way, there would have been no surge in Iraq and America would instead have run up the white flag, with the incalculable bloodbath and strengthening of the jihad that would have followed.

  • History shows students imitate their teachers. Jesus thought so too: Matthew 10 A student is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for the student to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebub, how much more the members of his household! So I ask you again - since Mohammad slaughtered, enslaved and raped his way to power - you expect his followers to be completely different - peaceful like Jesus?

  • the main similarity between christianity and islam is that it has scriptures that say good things but the people who have interpreted them have been the cause of the greatest suffering on this planet. quaere why on earth are there the greatest number of sexual assaults in the christian church?

we must separate doctrine from its interpretation.

  • The naivety of your hopeful optimism about Muslim agendas does not take into consideration that Mohammad's life is the ULTIMATE DIVINE PATTERN FOR ALL TIME for every Muslim. Mohammad was a whirlwind of amputating, pedophilia, slavery, subjugation of women, & beheading of teenagers. If it involved raiding, raping, looting, conquering or killing Mohammad was into it. HOW IN THE WORLD do you expect DISCIPLES of Mohammad to ignore all that? Answer-THEY DON'T they EMULATE THAT. Ergo the death we see.

  • @FirstAmendmentSpeech hey thank you for your comments. you have said a lot here, i appreciate that the koran says things that i find personally wrong and unjustifiable. i also agree that the consequences of those mistakes are evident in their utterly unfair society and discrimination against women (it works for some women but not for others).

BUT this video is about melanie phillips. and her big mouth, saying we should bomb the planet. my point is, lets bomb melanie first.

  • This woman is 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag. Burn in Hell next to Obama and the Muslims.

  • @FirstAmendmentSpeech the way women are treated and have less power and less rights in law and are stoned to death in a more disgraceful way and for being accused of crimes against them - is inexcusable.

again, this video was about melanie who wants to sit on her sofa, eating chips and changing the QVC channel on the remote and then say that iraq should be bombed so she can sleep peacefully at night.

  • @earthgirl3000 Nation states engage in acts of war on behalf of the nation state - America is not a big fat church - Islam is. Islam is driven by the example of Mohammad - as a religious rule. EVERY MUSLIM IS OBLIGATED to emulate Mohammad inasmuch as he is able. The mold contains rape, pedophilia, murder, slavery, assassination of enemies, subjugation of all people to Islam/Sharia law, which includes amputations, beheadings, stonings & women as a man's property. Muslim states bear this out.
