yeah, this is Cat Power's cover to "Space Oddity", originally sung by David Bowie. the only reaason ppl cant find it on iTunes is because Cat Power never completed the song, she just did it for this commercial. So please stop saying this is by Shiny Toy Guns. They did "Major Tom(Coming Home)", not this song

Yeah, I found the one by Shiny Toy Guns. I actually emailed Ford trying to find out who sang the other version. They actually had someone CALL ME about it!! It was really cool of them to do that. Ford's definitely getting a lot better than they used to be.

I find it hard to believe that she actually rehearsed and went into the studio to record 30 seconds of a classic song. There absolutely *must* be a full version of this. I would suspect that Lincoln paid for it outright though, which is a shame because whatever they paid her would be peanuts compared to what she could have made releasing the full thing.

@ijzerkoekie I've listened closely and can't find any proof that he does, but alive or dead, it explicitly states in the song that his circuit's dead. I wouldn't want to buy a car where the circuit's dead.

@ijzerkoekie Shiny toy guns did not do a version of this song...because the actual name of this song is called "space Oddity" and was originally done by David Bowie....the song you are thinking of is called "Major Tom" and the original is done by Peter Schilling, but yes shiny toy guns did cover the peter schilling song "major Tom"
