The Toronto Humane Society rescued a severely neglected animal that was near death. This poor puppy, a boxer pug mix who is only about 5 months old, was left alone tied up in an apartment and confined to a very small area to lay in his own urine and feces with no access to food or water.

Senior Agent Tre Smith received a call about this horrible case of neglect and went to the scene. He found this poor animal living in filthy conditions and severely emaciated.

The dog, named Cujo, was brought back to our vet clinic where he was put on IV fluids as well as provided food and water. Our vet clinic is now closely monitoring him to bring him back to a healthy weight and determine if there are any long term health problems he might suffer from.

Despite his ordeal, Cujo is extremely friendly and affectionate and when fully recovered will be adopted out to a new home that will give him the love and attention that he deserves.

The Toronto Humane Society is conducting an investigation to determine how and why the animal reached this state, possible charges are pending.

  • @pattycr125 kinda late but how old are you?

  • canada kills seals, fuck u!

  • @pattycr125 the vests aren't to protect against dogs but against people. Even tho you may be abusing your dog, you dont want it taken from you. Some people - abusers or not - may pull a gun on you to prevent you from saving the animal. There have been cases where animal enforcement have been attacked by abusive pet owners....hence the added protection of a vest.

  • @jpineaultful Its not about the inuits...its about the corporations doing it for money. Companies paying hunters for the skin so they can make some products out of it.

  • @pattycr125

    Puncture resistant.

  • whats the armor for i didn't know dogs could shoot guns ?

  • @jpineaultful you cant expect that indeed. I dont know what the rules and punishments are if you do it. But I think against any animal cruelty should be a heavy punishment. In some countries if you kill someone you get killed yourself, this is really extreme but its the right thing to do. If you kill animals there should be a punishment like 5 years in jail and you have to pay 5000$. If you dont pay, they will take your house untill you pay. Im sure they will stop killing animals after a while.

  • i am from canada and i am against the clubbing of little baby seals. but they have been doing it for thousands of years and its a way of life for inuit people. you cant expect a thousand yr old tradition to be abolished over night. if enough people speak out about it than maybe people will start to think differently
