Both Piano Red and Speckled Red played this song, but apparently they never performed together.
This recording is cool because after ten million performances Piano Red still put some new licks in there.
Piano Red was a DJ on WAOK in Atlanta, used to play records and piano for two hours every afternoon.

I loved Piano Red and wrote a song called "Piano Red" the day after his reposed. I wrote it that morning and recorded it that evening at New Age Studio in Atlanta, with the group City Lights - a local weekend band. If you were a fan of Mr Perryman, you might enjoy hearing my tribute to him. I have the song up on my page.

i WAS RAISED IN ATLANTA AND BACK IN THE 50S AND 60S MR. PERRYMAN WAS THE RAGE AND HALF OF ATLANTA WENT AROUND SAYING "YOU GOT THE RIGHT STRING BABY, BUT THE WRONG YO YO" :-) :-). HE PLAYED THE AFRICAN AMERICAN CLUBS DOWN ON DECATUR ST. IN ATLANTA. HE WAS AN ATLANTA ICON. A REAL SHOWMAN, THAT LOVED HIS MUSIC AND FANS.
