hi newsnetuk,i also have one of these with a cracked block,i have repaired it with special metal apoxy that i bought from homebase,doesnt leak now and works fine

@newsnetuk hi i have one of these engines with a cracked block from ice,it still runs but like you say a little water comes out,do you think enough water gets through to keep the rest of the engine cool

if I see and hear has this engine a overhaul needed, start slowly and bad, the sound is not as it should be.

I had one of these great engines and it sounded just as sweet.....fitted an alternator above the dynastart but it did steal a lot of horses.....eventually seized on me poor thing.....replaced with a MD2020...neat engine
