In August 2007, Patagonia ambassadors Steve House, Vince Anderson and Marko Prezelj set up base camp in Pakistan's Charakusa Valley to attempt the unclimbed peaks K6 and K7 West. They succeeded in making the first ascend of K7 West (6.842m) on September 3, at approximately 4 p.m. in a whiteout.

    To each their own, I suppose. You may find that you make different decisions in specific situations as opposed to passing judgement from your couch.
