@callamanster the tension definitely changes because of physics but on the 24.75 scale the Dime models are built at you just won't notice like you will on 25.5 scale. Whenever I've tinkered with lower keys on my 25.5's they get a limp feel but I've never gone to C#. This is why the 8 strings we're seeing are 26.5, 28 and even 31 inch scale octaves.
Tune one guitar to E440 and then another a couple steps lower. You'll notice you're faster on the 440 because the string is holding more energy.
What tuning do you use?

@JonDeth The tuning for everything from In waves is Drop C#. So go to drop d and then bring every steap down a half step

@callamanster damn..the strings must be like playing on spaghetti noodles lol.
I have a bazillion guitars, I should probably finally give these crazy deep tunings a try. I've found a few tunings metal players use so you make a huge fractal pitch leap when you hit your first 3 strings rather than change positions on the neck.
Gives a really dramatic impact to solos.

@JonDeth the strings are no looser than usual I can just adjust the tension of the floyd rose for drop tunings
