Part 2.

For whatever reason, YouTube has NEVER liked me and gives me so much hassle when i try to upload ANY videos!!! Usually it means it just takes HOURS to upload even the smallest video but this time, with 19 months ive had more trouble than ever!!!

Ive tried NUMEROUS times to upload this over the last week, with no avail. SO, ive chopped it in half and will upload in 2 parts!!! I have actually just uploaded pt. 1 but noticed a few mistakes (from me rushing to get it posted and not checking it beforehand!!! Alas, i wasted 2 whole hours letting it upload just for me to then delete it!!! GRRR!!!).

Ok, so on to the important stuff...

We've had a really good month with Kaiden... We now have even more words and sounds which is excellent, his speech is really coming along!!! Words/sounds so far:
*Mum
*Dad
*Bub
*Bot Bot (bottle)
*Brrm (car)
*Woof Woof (dog)
*Up
*Ding (bell on his bike)
*Kick (when kicking a ball)
*Pop (when popping bubbles or for my Pump water bottle)
*Oo (sound the train represents when doing Ling Sounds for Speech Therapy)
*Brush (fro brushing his teeth with his toothbrush)
- I think thats all of them...

Kaiden has continued to accept more and more food from us which he then will try... So far hes tried:
*Hot chips
*Biscuits
*Grapes
*Pringles
*Sweet N Sour sauce
*Watermelon
Hot chips are so far the ONLY "fresh" thing he will take (without ANY hesitation!!!) and eat the entire thing!!! Just the other week he ate 3 1/2 in a row!!!

Ummm, as far as development goes he hasnt reached anymore milestones really... Hes gotten MUCH better at sitting on his bum and is doing MUCH more than last month. He will always sit on his bum against the couch and he always sits on his bum to play with his favourite toy which is a ride-on car that you can seperate the legs to transform into a walker.

Hes not walking yet but as you can see from the video, hes getting close (i hope!).

Kaiden has also learnt a new song and its actions, "Round and Round the Garden Like A Teddy Bear". He also knows:
*Twinkle, Twinkle
*Incy Wincy Spider
*Gulumph (frog song)
*Cheeky Monkey Song (goes with the monkey for the Ee Ling Sound for Speech Therapy.)
We are told at Speech Therapy that a child who knows at least 8 nursey rhymes/songs by the time they are 4, have an easier time learning to use speech. So Kaiden has 5 songs so far and hes not even 2 yet!!! WOOHOO, go Kaiden!!!

Thats pretty much it for this month i think... Hes happy, hes healthy and hes doing great so we cant really complain! Hes here and hes doing everything we were told he wouldnt!!!

Thanks for watching!

  • I didn't have to go through speech therapy. I didn't actually get hearing aids until I was around 10 years old. I should have had them before that but nobody ever clued in until I was old enough to start noticing myself.

  • So you didnt have any delay in speech?

  • Nope. There are some words that I used to say wrong because I misheard them when I was little... I used to think a "china cabinet" was called a "shining cabinet", heh, and there are a few other words I can't think of now that I used to say wrong all the time.

As for the website, thanks for the comment! I had it designed by someone else, and paid $200.

  • WOW! Only $200 to have the WHOLE thing designed for you? Thats so cheap, bet it would be more like $1000 here!!!

  • Yep, the $200 covered the design only and some basic setup. I had to add most of the pages and have to add all of the products and stuff myself.

  • Ok, thanks for answering my questions!!!

On an off topic- i just checked out your site- it looks really good! How do you put a website up? I know we did it in highschool but that was YEARS ago!!! It all seems so complicated!!! LOL Do you have to pay for it?

  • No problem! ;)

They think the reason for my hearing loss is due to nerve damage at birth. I have been through many tests and they can't figure out what else it might be from. My nephew has just recently been diagnosed with moderate hearing loss too, so we're not sure if it's a hereditary thing or not.

  • Oh, ok. Do you know what caused your hearing loss? Did you have speech therapy or anything to learn how to use speech? Do you know any sign? Sorry for all the questions!!! LOL

  • I don't wear them mostly because I find them uncomfortable. I can get by pretty okay without them. Usually once or twice a day I won't hear something properly, but it's not so bad that I really, reeeeeally need to wear them.

  • Thanks for watching!
