@petoboiboi If you're referring to the coupe that Peter did to Marat's hand, then it would not have worked because Peter was already on his back foot (his weight was distributed backwards I mean).  So his attack forward attack wouldn't have been that fast, Marat MIGHT have been able to counter. Sadly, we'll never really know.

This looks like taekwondo, too much hopping around afraid to attack. I wish this wasnt so frilly and sissy looking, I know beneath all this queer point sparring there is real swordsmanship, most modern fencers are just too wimpy to try using it.

As a dedicated but relatively new epee fencer, I take great pleasure in watching the videos you upload. Your analysis of the touches are extremely helpful. It's especially useful for me because my small college doesn't have a hired coach and as the most experienced epee fencer I'm responsible for the rest of the squad, which is difficult for me because I am inexperienced and don't have access to my own coach at home. Thanks for helping me continue my education!

at 6:16 when peter is attacking the hand can't he just continue to the body, becuse marat isn't reacting ?
