Beautiful ballad. This was also issued on at least one Collectables CD and a bootleg 45, and both have pretty bad sound quality. I think the original 45 sounds the best by far. I apologize for the lack of bass - it is how the song was recorded. What you are hearing is a direct transfer from the 45 without any enhancements whatsover.

  • When calling something the Rarest it does mean to us Collectors the original LP or 45. Most of these songs are now on Comp CD' or someones MP3. I could call my whole collection of over 50,000, 45.s rare but I won,t because I have a ton of top 100 hits. I do have many original 45's that are rare. Especially R&B from 1952 -now. Am always looking to add more.

  • @Dickneeds - Exactly. Sounds like you have an impressive collection. With 50,000 records you must have some heavy duty rareties

  • cmon its not the rarest i get so sick of people saying they have the rarest the rarest id by the Orioles on Jubilee singing stormy weather

  • The "song" isn't all that rare. It's been out on at least one cd and I know mp3s floated around the internet for a while. However, original copies of the 45 are EXTREMELY rare. When I say something is rare I can care less how many other people posted it or how many mp3s are floating around. I'm a record collector and when I say something is rare I'm talking about the record.

By the way, I think you meant The Five Sharps when you said Stormy Weather.

  • You've done it again..can I borrow your Flux capacitor one night! Or you could take me with you to the record hop and come back with Gems Like this...!

  • LOL. I wasn't aware that I was in possession of a flux capacitor, but if I find it you can borrow it.
