Actually, she does have some background with trip-hop. Frou Frou, her old band was quite trip-hoppy. You might not want to categorize them that way in the all-in-all, but they definitely have their moments, and several of their songs frequent my Sneaker Pimps station on Pandora.

I love how you tricked the happy major-key singing into a spooky minor-key place on the verses. Veddy niiiice.
