There are a few videos of "Eh Cumpari" on Youtube, mostly with the original Italian lyrics, so I thought I'd add this version by The Stargazers with Syd Dean and his Orchestra, sung in English. It is the "B" side of the popular No. 1 hit, "I see the Moon" from 1954. It is on a Decca (pre ffrr) 78.
It is played here on my Stella ST567 battery operated portable record player. Stella was a brand name used by Philips. It dates from the 1960s and uses a good quality ceramic pickup with turn over stylus. It runs on 6 "D" torch cells and has a loudspeaker in the lid which clips over the turntable when not in use. It produces an amazingly loud sound for its size.
wow, we had this at home then in a move of house one box never made it's destination. Unfortunately that was the complete record and cassette collection - ranging from the 78s through Heavy Metal, Motown up to FTGH
Some things just cannot be replaced.
Thanks for posting
