I always listen to this while I drive, I always get so emotional at 1:45, and all I can think about is how familiar this music is to me, even though I haven't listened to it as much since I was like, 10. I'm now 20, and this music still makes me both happy & sad! I LOVE IT.

@OlivierVinet98 It's because since it's based on a TV show, professional movie critics see it as a two and a half hour long episode of the show. So if your not a fan of the show, you're not gonna like this movie. Critics also have a problem with movies that kids will enjoy while at the same time, it would annoy parents taking them to see it. Every TV show based movie besides Pokemon fall in this category, (Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles, etc.) so it's not really a big shock.

NO ONE was expecting Ash to go down like that. So even though we got a happy ending, the death of the lead character (if it was only for a moment) traumatized some kids and pissed of parents.

Plus Mewtwo, a pokemon, slaughtered everyone on the island at the start as well. Scary shit man.

Pokemon masters aren't people who just want to earn badges, become famous, or become rich and think only of themselves. They are people who have a heart of gold, willing to do anything, even sacrifice themselves to help save others and Pokemon who are in danger. They never think of the consequences of doing good, the only thing that matters to them is helping others. ;)
