July 2003
Martin Adler takes us into the heart of the Liberian conflict in July 2003. We follow Charles Taylor's gaudy child soldiers as they police their front line: arresting and shooting looters, trying to explain what they are fighting for. We witness horrific gun battles with the inevitable casualties, speak to children as young as 13 armed with enormous assault rifles and learn of the darkest side of the conflict as one boy tells us, "we gonna eat their heart".

the irony of this video as noted in the end is that despite the bloodshed in an African country, the Uk's main story is about their "high temperatures" as if the citizens of the Uk cannot feel the heat. Africans are being killed and yet it is not the main story as always. That last few second pretty much sums up the mentality of the world towards Africa and the value of black lives.
