In Thy Image - Part Six and Conclusion (aka What if Star Trek: The Motion Picture was a TV Show?)

What if Star Trek: The Motion Picture was an episode of the classic series? Here's the sixth and final segment of my fan edit.

This is the conclusion of the story. One thing I couldn't resist was using the music from the Doomsday Machine where Matt Decker made the supreme sacrafice and use it for the scene where William Decker merges with Ilia and V'Ger.




The main thing that changes from the movie to my edit is obviously the tone. The addition of all the special effects, cinematic music and even the much maligned reaction shots gives TMP a much greater scope and sense of wonder. This edit is much lighter, and in that sense much closer to the Classic series in tone, which is my preference at the end of the day.

Again, apologies for the low sound. I hope to do another attempt at this at some point, and correct this issue.
