As a Democrat who despises the Bush administration, I can say in the same breath that I have no hate or malice for Richard Nixon. He was a brilliant man, and indeed abused his power. He is not even remotely in the same category as the neo-con's who are determined to dominate the world, and destroy our domestic promises. You will never hear these criminals regret their wrong-doings in10-20 years. Nixon was man enough to admit regret about Watergate.

Both Presidents are failures marked by scandels. Both will also be known for leading the country in time of war and letting the economy fall into recessions.
Nixon however made great strides toward world peace. And Nixon's high crimes and misdemeanors hardly measure up to those of GWB.

@locobuick Nixon opened up trade with China, who now has us by our financial balls. A better world?

Needs more dramatic music.

Wow! You've identified the Washington lifers! Not such a rare animal, sorry to burst your bubble. There's literally thousands of them. You fail to mention what all these people did in between when President Nixon resigned and Bush took office? Sat around waiting I imagine.
I'm appalled that anyone would dare alledge similarity between one of our nations greatest presidents and George W. Bush, arguably the worst so far. It verges on criminal defamation of character.

This is in regard to your comment that Bush "is the biggest crook of all the presidents we have ever had".
What about Nixon? What about LBJ? what about Warren G. Harding? Millard Fillmore? Andrew Johnson? James Buchanan? No?

I agree, two of my top 10 presidents of all time.
So this comparison proves what? That members of the Bush administration.....(drum roll)....actually had other positions in other administrations! Wow! What a thought, that people might actually have experience in their field, or that the President might want someone with actual experience to serve under him. A more apt comparison would be to see how many people who served under Carter and Clinton are now in the mainstream media.

@guitarguruaja That would not be apt, nor even a similar comparison. It would be like comparing apples to oranges.
