Gov. Bob Riley comments on the news that federal agents from the U.S. Department of Justice are investigating corruption surrounding gambling legislation in the Alabama Legislature.
I hope its not true," Gov. Riley says. "Because, if it is true, then the level of corruption weve gotten into in the State of Alabama is becoming a real threat. This is not about gambling as much as it is about corruption. When you have the ability and the power to come in, just because of who you are, and corrupt the legislative process or be accused of it, I think its a real threat to Alabama.

This is not about playing bingo. This is really not even about gambling. This is about the corruptive influence that gambling has on this state and its becoming more and more apparent everyday.
