Spirit in the Sky Lesson Part 1

"Spirit in the Sky" by DcTalk. This video shows you how to play the song the way I do. I use power chords and my WAH pedal. I have a cover for this song. It was requested that I do a lesson on this song.
This first part explains the power chords and what chords to play for the song. When I teach the WAH pedal, I show you how to use one (assuming you have never used one before). I show you what I do in my cover with the WAH pedal.
Catch the second part for showing some scales to use so you can improvise your own solo. I'll show you the scale and positions I used in my cover video.

nice lesson on the rythme the wah doesnt fit this song, now dont take this wrong but when i watched ur vid it made me think of a movie scene from a chiller movie oh i dont know maybe the hair and the flag on the wall but i was really expecting some one tied up in ur room .... dont worry im more of a freak just saying my opion but i liked the rythme ty

Hi,

could you show us how the original version by Norman Greenbaum is supposed to be played? On Wikipedia is a description, but i dont really get it.. i guess he switched between the bridge and neck pickup but what about the string bending?

@kamisorikun To be honest, I didn't know about the original version until I had uploaded the video. I only knew about the version by DcTalk. This is the only version I'm familiar with. :(
