On February 25, 2010 activists took to the streets in over 25 cities internationally to demand the re-opening of Shuhada Street in Hebron's Old City, closed to the 170,000 Palestinian residents to facilitate the Jewish settlement of the area.
In San Francisco several organizations organized to block part of the city's shopping district to draw attention to the campaign to end apartheid policies in Hebron.

2nd class citizens? they aren't even citizens...and they don't even deserve citizenship...i wonder how many of these people who are protesting have actually been to israel and seen what is actually going on... i used to be left wing when it came to the israeli-palestinian issue, then i moved here and saw what's really going on... they are ungrateful! israel takes care of them better than they deserve. May Israel continue to prosper and thank goodness we have more pro-israeli republicans now...
