Not really a bad song, although it's a bit odd that they didn't change the "black and proud" part..seems odd for a white guy to say he's "black and proud". However, saying "white and proud" would come off as being a white supremacist..lol.

i like this version a lot but frankly it loses power when its sung by a white man i mean im white but a key aprt of the song is his forefathers painful history "climb the trees my forefathers hung from" the fact is white men dont have to deal with that and it makes this song a little less powerful
