The Guitarist was definitely Howard Roberts. If you look at the picking technique at around : 47 it is a circular type picking using Thumb and index finger. I believe this technique was invented by Howard Roberts. Barney Kessel used his elbow at a fast tempo and Herb Ellis used only his wrist when playing fast.. As Great as Barney and Herb were only Howard Roberts could play lines that way.

I'm pretty sure that is Herb at 0:22 in the Wanted poster on the wall. Probably wanted for copying Howard Roberts' playing style. Will ask him about it.

Herb Ellis is credited at the end of the episode. I have it on DVD and his name is in the credits. Herb Ellis could play.
