An original by the b.a.s.i.c. band. This is our jazzy blues love song...about the original first love. One of our two unique wedding songs, yet everyday songs...for all year. The main theme? A house is not a home...love is! Love is the place we live. As it turned out, we wrapped it up just in time to present it for Valentine's Day! Sweet! Perfect timing! And didn't even plan it that way. Cool! Had to use some creativity for the video recording. The thought behind recording it in the parlor? Well, the paint is green in there and can you guess what it's called? Yep! Garden of Eden! And the room is my garden place where the sun comes in and I feel peaceful in there. Since the song is the only thing we can give everyone and ourselves, we have colored it up and flowered it up. You will notice a glass red heart and roses in the vid. No candy, but the music hopefully is sweet. Even wore a kind of wedding dress...my style...with fingerless gloves, of course. And a rose beaded wreath on my head. Though, I am not sure you can see it well. Wanted to do it outdoors in an actual garden, but this time of year? Well, the parlor worked. The intro, again, some big help from Dave Hoskins making Eden! He is awesome! Always comes through with the exact ideas in my head! And, believe me? That is hard!!! It's always on and a little off. PIMP LOL. Happy Valentines and feel free to share this around to all those you love!!! Oh, and a side note? This was perfectly synced due to much tedious work. PIMP LOL. But, once I uploaded to YouTube, it is a bit off. I strive for excellence and it bugs me that it is a bit off here. Hope you still enjoy! It actually looks better on Facebook. http://www.facebook.com/#!/video/video.php?v=1706712002135&comments They don't have as much video traffic. You expect it to be a hair off, but not the whole wig! Guess I better go...getting a little wiggy! Oh! And did you notice the apple at the end? Had to add some humor...just saw it laying on the table and thought...this is a perfect ending. But, I didn't take a bite out of it! PIMP LOL
Much love, Tracy (Trace)
Lyrics (Sam):
Adam was in the garden
He had paradise on earth
He walked the fragrant woodlands
Crystal waters quenched his thirst
Still there was something missing
A house is not a home
And God said it's not good
For a man to dwell alone
Chorus: And that's how love began In paradise...hand in hand And God gave you to me Like Adam and Eve...that's how our love shall be
Lead break
Still there was something missing
A house is not a home
And God said it's not good
For a man to dwell alone
Chorus: And that's how love began In paradise...hand in hand And God gave you to me Like Adam and Eve...that's how our love shall be
Lyric critique
"Still there was something missing
A house is not a home"
This is great, especially with the altered melody. The problem is there isn't enough of a payoff on the third line, plus you end with a decidedly ordinary term, "good". How about:
And God said it's not living
For a man to dwell alone
That way you get a near rhyme to tighten the connection between 1/3.

@Oswlek That would be alirght, but we already have the connection of alone and home. I like singing "good"... It is really good to hear from you. I have put up many since we've talked. Just don't go on much. Thank you for your kind comments.
