does a computer already come with ram on the slots or are they empty so you can put extra ram besides the one it already has? oh and does ddr2 have 2 sides or only one? and does ddr have to sides or one?

yes it does, well i think you might have to get a decent graphics card as well though.

they foregot about alot of things,but mostly what i see what happens in my computer store, when someone adds ram,they burn out the motherboard,because you have to ground yourself before putting in the ram sticks,if you have had the computer on within 10minutes of opening the computer, the motherboard still has power in it,and if you dont ground yourself then you are going to blow the mother board up with the static eletricity in your body, keep 1 hand on the case at all times wile installing

What happened to the Earth Strap? Wh did he not say to make suer you are fitting the memory the right way round, match the new memory with the old memory. What a useless video from a usullay good company!

If the pre-existing ram is any size lower than the maximum permitted for that particular system's particular memory slot, discard it , and max out the system with new rams.

No telling if, for instance, mixing PC-2100 and PC-3200 would cause compatibility issues or make the PC treat the faster ram as slower ram.

Supposedly, adding ram is the most cost-effective improvement you can make to your PC.

The video should have shown BOTH slots being filled.

so when i run WoW it lags up like when a big group of characters are after me
but if i were to get 2x 1gb would it let me enjoy destroying there day???? and not lag out in big battles
i know i know i sound like a nerd : )
