The Solomon Bar is one of the most popular ways to incorporate paracord into a tie. The following video shows how to generate the banded bar, my favorite dual-colored Solomon bar design. Video production by JD of Tying It All Together.

  • @DuckTapeHelper it could just be the ones near me.. im going to shops around camp pendleton.. and sometimes they can be leery of civilian shoppers. but it could even just be that i was in on a bad day for someone in the shop.. who knows, but im sure if you have a military base near you, theyll have a shop that will sell things like that.. but its a safer bet to try online to ensure youll get the colours you want..

  • @ChiiSan09 why are they picky

  • @DuckTapeHelper military supply shops have them.. you can also find them online. but make sure you know how much you want and if the shop is permited to sell to you.. some military shops are picky and wont sell to civilians.

  • hey were do u get your paracord i would like to know so i can get some

  • i do some like that but i use like 8 feet and do a king cobra stich which is a solomon bar just over wraped twice.

  • 3rd complete TIAT knot. Thanks again JD, I watched your videos before I even touched paracord, now that I have some it is really fantastic. PLEASE keep doing what you are doing! =)

  • Thanks very much for that wonderful demo!

  • Love the videos, the music is awesome too. Makes the video more entertaining.

Keep up the great service you are providing...Esteban from NC

  • Great stuff - thank you so much for putting this out there (and turning me on to some great music too.)

  • another common name for this knot is the Portuguese sennet. it is often used for sailor's or (boatswain's) belts in the Navy and other nautical practices.
